Thanks for spending time at my blog and for your comment.
Honestly, I'm thrilled to be included in your blogroll (as if that wasn't clear already). And I'd be very excited if the work you've kindly done to index all of us together was better publicized. How cool to think that all of us would have better access to what our gay brothers and lesbian sisters are feeling, thinking, and experiencing.
I went looking for other blogs from queer Canadians and didn't have much luck finding any. What you've done here is performed a great service by finding us and making us more accessible to other readers.
On behalf of all us blog writers, thanks. We really appreciate it.Rick Modienhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02157314737543591048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834596026525717264.post-68045893987426009552010-02-23T14:33:23.733-08:002010-02-23T14:33:23.733-08:00Wow, Rick! Though I'm rather it has!
I certainly support your right to blog as you see fit, and am glad that you are asserting yourself in this way.

In terms of promoting QCB, it's been a pretty good ride so far... We only really started to work at expanding the blogroll less than a year ago, and it has undergone quite a few shifts during that time.

Currently, we have a blog review column in Capital Xtra, which I hope will eventually be syndicated to the other editions of the paper as well. We also secured www.queercanadablogs.ca, and I've been working on a new version of the website, with the added feature of an editorial/news column that ties the whole project together a lot better than the current massive list of links!

On the whole, QCB is a huge labour of love and I'm really excited about it... Welcome aboard!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834596026525717264.post-36118754188390857062010-02-22T13:08:40.752-08:002010-02-22T13:08:40.752-08:00Thanks, Jeanette, for your kind words.
Yes, I'...Thanks, Jeanette, for your kind words.
Yes, I'm excited about being "discovered," as you put it, although, over the past number of days, I haven't noticed much new traffic to my blog.
Queer Canada Blogs is nothing more than another blog on Blogger.com. Since the owners of that blog took the time to consolidate a listing of many of the blogs written by Canadians who are gay and lesbian, their site is somewhat comprehensive, and I'd like to see it as the go-to location for anyone looking to find what's on the minds of Canada's gay and lesbian population. I'm not sure how to get the word out that Queer Canada Blogs is out there, but, if it could get more publicity, who knows how much more our blogs would be viewed and presumably enjoyed. Perhaps it's only a matter of time before QCB becomes better known.
Thanks again for your comment and encouragement. I guess we'll see what happens.Rick Modienhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02157314737543591048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6834596026525717264.post-8698420335606555292010-02-19T23:40:14.777-08:002010-02-19T23:40:14.777-08:00Congrats on being "discovered"!
