It's not because it's a YA book that it isn't suitable for adults, especially this story.

And he had a good one for you too, although I'm surprised you haven't read "The Velvet Rage" yet. I know you'll get a lot out of it. You'd laugh to see how many passages I tagged as I read it, which are still all in place.

Is it a good sign that, on a first date, you get to the part where you recommend books for each other to read? I think so.

And about my blog reaching younger gay people, I didn't intend for that to happen, but it certainly has. While I hear from older gay people from time to time, I mostly receive comments (and emails) from younger ones, and I can't tell you how gratifying it is to be looked at someone who can help. Who knew all these years later I'd turn my experience (and pain) into advice.

I can't tell you what your encouragement means. I don't know if this comes across in our communications, but I have a lot of respect for you. So that you offer such kind words touches me, and I appreciate it.

Gregory and Tim. Has a nice ring to it, don't you think?

Just a few more days. You'll make it. So glad you were inspired to write based ...Hi Rick,
So glad you were inspired to write based on Two Boys Kissing. It's a memorable read that captures the mixed emotions our generation feels regarding progress and its impact on a younger group of gay men/adolescents. Coincidentally, this is the book I recommended to Tim on our recent first date. He, in turn, talked about The Velvet Rage, a book you have referred to several times. I did buy it and shall get to it at some point over the summer.

I think the structure of your blog allows you to reach younger gay individuals on a regular basis. Keep doing what you're doing!

RGRural Gayhttp://ruralgayguy.blogspot.ca/noreply@blogger.com
